Work by Marko 93
First Floor / Size : 310 x 390 cm / Metal doorway /Glycero paints and aerosols / 2012
“This doorway follows on from the façade I created together with Popof and Da Cruz as part of the “Eté du Canal” summer festival organised by the local Department of Tourism. My idea was to work in lettering styled to look like neon, evoking the concept of light and covering the entire corner of the building with letters spelling out the slogan “In light we trust”. I’ve been combining my graffiti-ing with work in light painting for a while now, and I’ve been trying for several years to incorporate light effects into my paintings. Alongside that, I’m still hanging onto what I learned earlier from Arabic calligraphy, which I often use as a basis for the background.”

A singular artist who has successfully tapped into the essence of graffiti in pursuit of creativity, today he travels the world, taking part in numerous events and exhibitions.
