« Never let me go » by Sean Hart
Second Floor / Wall /Glycero paints /2008
“Each of the artworks I created at Pantin went on to be recorded as a photograph taken in black and white so as to obliterate the colours. (The works were created using “found” pots of paint, these being all I had at that particular time). For this room, I had made one photo for Never let me go and another for Danger on the wall off to one side, so as to allow each work to be viewed on its own. The idea here was to have a word or quotation that was capable of changing its meaning, depending on whether it was read with the first letter struck out or not.”

Sean Hart
Born in France in 1981, Sean Hart has been voluntarily homeless for the past 3 years: a street artist who travels and works without authorisation – but also without concealing his name or his face – in towns throughout the world. He sees his work as a set of poetic messages encompassing various different series of work and covering a wide range of different media: painting, photography, video, sculpture, installation, performance art and short films. Each work represents fragmented pages of an intimate diary – a travel journal formulated as a cocktail of challenging poetic images.
