Work by Skuz
PFirst Floor / Wall /Aerosols / 2008
“I found this building pretty easy to get into, because I’d been to school quite close by. For the most part, I painted there at weekends along with Arone, Flow and Veans. It’s a killer spot, because you find all types of surface there. I did plenty of lettering there, but also lots of calligraphy (direct tracings in black, inspired by Chicano lettering or the world of tattoos), all of which has since been covered up. We didn’t dare do too much on the outside at first, because several times, the cops came by and told us to get down. Of course, we didn’t, and they spent an hour looking for us, but it was still a bit of a pain. (Laughs)”

Skuz TWE
Skuz began working in graffiti in 1998. Starting as a tagger, in 2001 he discovered colour painting and joined the TWE Crew. He specialises in lettering and calligraphy that combine tattooing and graffiti, and his work often uses chrome as its basic colour, allowing him to focus on working around the letters. Many examples of his lettering can be seen inside the Magasins Généraux building in Pantin. He likes surfaces of all kinds, but is particularly partial to train carriages.
