Vision
Third Floor / Size : 310x160 / Window/ Aerosols / 2008
“Back in the day, my friends and I often used to paint along the Ourcq Canal, and that’s how we spotted this building. We tried to get inside once – no dice. The second time was the charm. A small opening in one section did the trick – I was pleased, because I’d been thinking of painting in there for a while. We strolled around, did a painting or two inside and took a few photos. Once we’d finished, I did a series of throw-ups on the glass bay windows, simply to empty my aerosol cans and to be visible from outside. The pleasure of creation, the pleasure of being seen – that’s all.”

Vision
Vision is a French artist who was born in 1971. He started creating graffiti in 1986, taking his inspiration from the first generation of Parisian writers and from the New York school in the 80s. In 1992, together with Pseye and Rest, he founded the OutlawCrew group, with which he then went on to make his mark on every relevant medium. He is also an “all-purpose activist”, who has taken part in countless festivals in France and elsewhere in Europe. His hyper-productivity takes in both walls and canvas, a medium in which he has been active since 1990 and in pursuit of which he puts in studio time on a daily basis. He has also been painting on vinyl records for around a decade.
